Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or playing Parchisi Royale ("the Game"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Game. These Terms apply to all players regardless of platform (Android, iOS, or any future platform).

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of material changes via an in-game notice.

2. Eligibility

• By playing, you confirm that you meet the age requirement in your jurisdiction.
• We reserve the right to terminate accounts found to belong to underage users without parental consent or users found doing illegal activities such as cheating or harrassing players...

3. Accounts & Authentication

• You may play as a guest or sign in via Google or Apple through Unity Gaming Services (UGS). We do not operate our own registration system.
• Your game progress is tied to your Unity Player ID. Guest accounts that are not linked to a Google or Apple account may lose progress if the app is uninstalled or the device is reset.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google or Apple account used to sign in.
• Account sharing or transferring your account to another person is not permitted.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for inactivity exceeding 12 months.

4. Game Rules & Fair Play

Parchisi Royale is a competitive multiplayer game. To protect the experience for all players, the following are strictly prohibited:

• Cheating: Using any software, script, bot, macro, or external tool to gain an unfair advantage.
• Bug Exploitation: Intentionally using game bugs, glitches, or unintended mechanics to gain an advantage. Discovered bugs must be reported to support, not exploited.
• Power Abuse: Abusing the 5-second power application window (e.g. scripted automation to always apply powers at the last millisecond) is considered cheating.
• Manipulation: Colluding with opponents, deliberately losing matches to manipulate rankings, or coordinating outcomes with other players.
• Reverse Engineering: Decompiling, disassembling, or attempting to extract the Game's source code, assets, or network traffic for unauthorized purposes.
• Harassment: Any abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or offensive behavior toward other players.
• Impersonation: Impersonating other players, developers, or support staff.
• Disconnecting: Intentionally disconnecting to avoid a loss. Repeated disconnections may result in matchmaking penalties or suspension.

Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspension, permanent ban, or removal of in-game progress and purchases, at our sole discretion.

5. Powers & Game Mechanics

The following rules govern the use of powers in Parchisi Royale:

• Powers are unlocked by landing on specific squares (Match 4, T/L, or 5). Only powers that occur during a match are counted.
• Each power has a move value displayed below its icon. Reduce values (negative moves) are capped so their absolute value is always less than 10.
• A selected power must be applied within 5 seconds or it expires unused.
• Powers may be applied on your own turn or during your opponent's turn within the 5-second window.
• Once a power effect is applied, the move is consumed and the affected warrior's life resets.
• Powers cannot be activated if you have no active warriors on the board.
• Power appearance is weighted — some powers appear more frequently than others by design. This is an intentional game mechanic, not a malfunction.
• Attempting to exploit power timing, weights, or warrior state through external tools is a violation of Section 4.

6. In-App Purchases & Virtual Items

• The Game may offer in-app purchases processed through Google Play or the Apple App Store. All transactions are subject to their respective terms and refund policies.
• Virtual items, currencies, warriors, and power-ups have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to other players, or redeemed outside the Game.
• All purchases are final. Refunds are handled exclusively by Google Play or Apple App Store under their own policies. We do not process refunds directly.
• We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or rebalance virtual items at any time without compensation.
• If your account is suspended or banned for violations, you forfeit any virtual items or currency without right to refund.

7. Advertisements

The Game displays advertisements served by LevelPlay (Unity LevelPlay / IronSource) and its mediated ad networks. By playing the Game, you consent to the display of ads. You may opt out of personalized ads via your device settings as described in our Privacy Policy. Ad-free options may be available as in-app purchases where offered.

8. Intellectual Property

• All content in Parchisi Royale — including game design, graphics, audio, warrior characters, board design, power icons, animations, and code — is our exclusive property or licensed to us.
• You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to play the Game for personal, non-commercial use only.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the Game without our explicit written consent.
• Recording and sharing gameplay footage for personal or content creation purposes is permitted, provided it does not misrepresent the Game or disparage us.

9. User-Generated Content

If the Game allows you to submit any content (e.g. player names, chat messages, or profile customizations), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and moderate that content within the Game. You must not submit content that is offensive, illegal, infringing, or violates these Terms. We reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

• The Game is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
• We are not liable for loss of game progress due to server outages, device failure, account loss, or force majeure events.
• We are not responsible for unauthorized access to your account resulting from your failure to secure your Google or Apple credentials.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Game shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $5 USD if you made no purchases).
• Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability — in those regions, the above limits apply to the fullest extent permitted by local law.

11. Service Availability & Changes

• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Game or any feature at any time, with or without notice.
• We may perform maintenance that results in temporary unavailability. We are not liable for any resulting loss of gameplay or progress.
• In the event we shut down the Game permanently, we will provide reasonable notice where possible. No refunds will be issued for unused virtual items unless required by applicable law.

12. Termination

We may suspend or permanently terminate your access to the Game at any time for violations of these Terms, suspected fraud, cheating, or any conduct we deem harmful to the Game or its players. You may stop using the Game at any time and request account deletion via our account deletion page.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where we operate. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration or the courts of our operating jurisdiction, except where prohibited by local consumer protection law.

EU and UK users retain the right to bring claims before their local courts and consumer protection authorities regardless of this clause.

14. Platform-Specific Terms

• Google Play: These Terms are between you and us, not Google. Google is not responsible for the Game or its content. In case of conflict, Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement takes precedence for distribution matters.
• Apple App Store: These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Game. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
